SU 2 Step Bird Punch

Had a few hours to myself yesterday to really play with this punch-I love how these turned out.

This first card is made with PTI paper-Ocean Tides, Spring Rain & Aqua Mist. The wing of the bird is made from a scrap of the Everyday Blessings patterened paper 6x6 pad. Background is Aqua Mist and it is embossed with CB folder from the Romance collection. Ocean Tides is punched with the new EK Success punch-Flowers & Blooms I think it's called-I just picked it up this week & really like it. A couple of prima flowers with blingy centers from Recollections.

This one has one of my favorite SU color combo's-Old Olive & Ruby Red.  Squares are 2x2 then layered on Old olive. This card also uses the new SU Vintage Vogue stamp set-first time I've used it.

I finally tried the Easel Card-directions are from Splitcoaststampers are here:

The paper is SU kraft, Pacific Point, Confetti Cream & DCWV Luxury stack. The scalloped circle is the Mega punch from Marvy & the 2 oval punches are the 2 smallest ones from Marvy also. Button is SU Pacific Point from last years In Colors. This card is so easy to make-I just need to either make or buy envies to fit it in.

May be difficult to see the little bird on this one-It is punched from the patterened paper too-I added a little pearl eye so it can be picked out. The paper is SU Rose Romance and Always Artichoke.  Here is a close up of the bird too.

Plain & simple but really elegant looking. I think it might make a nice Wedding or Anniversary card.

Dots embossing folder done on white paper, 2 birds & wings punched out of white paper & sponged with SU Chocolate Chip ink, added a K & Co teal eye. Branck/leaves punched from SU Always Artichoke. Done!

And a little bit of bright color for the last one! These colors are all this years In Colors. Bird is punched from a scrap-and a little blue eye blingy from Recollections. I did use the ticket corner punch as the center piece was a little too big for my card front.

Easter Cards

This felt like cheating-I found a website where I was able to print free easter images-I used these in place of stamped images on these cards. Love the old fashioned look.

This one has all PTI paper & a little bling from Recollections!

This one is using SU Gable Green paper & some scrap from when I first started cardmaking. Stickles used around the image.

Love this bunny image-paper is SU So Saffron & Creamy Caramel. Used one of the CB Romance embossing folders. Stickles again around the image.

And mother hen with an apron of eggs! Paper is scraps from way back & ribbon is SU So Saffron.

Easter Cards with SU's Faith & Hope

Whipped up a few Easter cards over the weekend-I only have this one stamp set so I get bored pretty quick.

For this one I used Pretty in Pink, Blush Blossom & mellow Moss paper-ribbon is from PTI & the square buckle is something I bought from Oriental Trading at least 2 years ago-1st time I've used one! Colored image in with Copics.

I used PTI paper on this one and the little pearl bling I found at Michael's a couple weeks ago.  Sponged some Apricot Appeal in the sky area.

I finally used a Cuttlebug embossing folder set I have had forever-it came with 4 little folders & all 4 are flowers. I think it add's a nice touch here.  Little pearl bling from Michael's again.

Last one-Almost Amethyst is the background paper and the image is layered on Gable Green. The horizontal triangle is a scrap that seemed to coordinate well. And little green pearl bling from Michael's. I may have to run and get some more!

Childrens Birthday cards with Animal Stories

I used my free stamp set from Saleabration this past week-Animal Stories. Made some children birthday cards using the DCwV Animal Crackers background paper.

This first one has the middle Giraffe covered with stickles. Images were stamped with Dusty Durango & Crushed Curry-same colors for the paper.

This one is using the little elephant image-I think he is so cute!
He was stamped in Close to Cocoa-the layered papers are Garden Green & Close to Cocoa-used some scraps from the Animal Crackers paper & ran a strip of Garden Green through the cuttlebug with the distressed stripes folder.

I used mostly PTI paper on this one-the stripe is something I picked up awhile ago-can't remember what it is-it was a left over scrap.

and a really simple one for last-elephant stamped in gray & layered on Brilliant Blue scallop circle punch and 2 coordinating scraps from Animal Crackers-old square brads that matched the blue.

2 bottles of wine

I had an ugly black blemish on this card so I covered it with an empty bottle of wine! I colored in the dress with SU Dusty Durango & Cameo Coral-that's as close as I could get it to match the color in the background paper. I just love this Winobello stamp!

Happy Boost for a friend

One of my girlfriends is going through a tough divorce-she was down on Friday so I made this Bella card to cheer her up-hope she likes it. Notice how the groovy pants match the background paper?

Anne's 60th Birthday Card

A friend at work needed a special card for her friend Anne who is turning 60 later this month. A group of them get together once a month for GIRLS NIGHT OUT-GNO. So, here is what I came up with-used Winobello stamp, bright background paper & lots of orange peel stickles!

Loving Bella's

Don't you just love the Bella stamps??? These are from an image swap-tinkerbella will be a birthday card-the inside says : Here’s wishing you a fairy happy birthday!

Emmybella has been shopping again!

and this one is supposed to be be with my two furbabies (my hair is so not that long). I am holding Cocoa who is a sealpoint Himalyan and Sweetie is at my feet-she is a little buff colored tiger. I used one of the new Romance CB embossing folders on the Rich Razzleberry background paper & one of the little stip CB embossing folders for the strip that goes across. My wonderful sister Jewel gave me that one and I think this is the first time I used it!

SU 2 Step Bird Punch

I made my first card with this great punch from SU-pretty basic as I was just trying to see what it would look like. Silly me, I initially thought the larger leaves were just that-leaves. Then after looking at it & being a little disappointed in the bird it dawned on me that the leaf is the birds wing-a DUH moment for sure. I just used some sky background paper from a really old stack.
